묵상 : 정겨운 하나님

18The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." 19Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. (Genesis 2:18-22)

두 돐이 되어가는 아이와 함께 놀 때, 아이의 즐거워하는 모습 때문에 나이에 걸맞지 않는 우스꽝스러운 표정/말/행동을 합니다. 창세기 2장 18절에서 그려진 하나님과 아담 사이의 사건은 마치 시트콤의 한 장면과 같아 보입니다. 아담의 돕는 베필을 위해 가축과 짐승을 그 앞에 데려가서 이건 어떠냐고 물으시는 하나님. 아담이 정말 원하는 것이 무언지 찾기 위해 이런 저런 가축을 만드셨던 하나님의 모습은 어떻게 보면 어처구니 없어 보이는 시트콤 속의 한 케릭터 처럼 느껴집니다. 우리의 하나님은 거룩하신 분이시지만, 늘 굳은 얼굴로 지루한 이야기만 하시는 그런 분은 아니지 않을까 하는 생각을 합니다. 유모와 재치로 우리와의 관계를 더 가깝고자 하시는 모습 또한 우리 하나님의 모습이 아닌가 합니다. 오늘 하나님께로의 기도는 좀 더 케쥬얼하고 친근한 말투로 우리의 시시콜콜한 이야기도 함께 그 분과 나눌 수 있었으면 합니다.
